FAQ: Craniosacral Biodynamics with Coral

About My Practice

What exactly do you offer and how does it work?

I offer one-on-one Craniosacral Biodynamic (CSBD) sessions. This is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on therapy that helps the body find balance and its inherent self-healing capacity. Using a very light touch, I listen to the subtle rhythms and movements of your body, known as the "Breath of Life" or tidal forces. By attuning to these rhythms, I create a supportive space for your nervous system to down-regulate and for your body to release areas of tension. The process is deeply restful and is guided by your body's own innate wisdom.

How is this different from other therapies?

Unlike massage or chiropractic, which often involve more direct manipulation, CSBD is exceptionally gentle. The focus is not on "fixing" a problem but on creating a container for the body to heal itself. Unlike talk therapy, we don't need to analyze or discuss the story of your pain. We simply listen to your body's wisdom, allowing stored tension and emotional trauma to resolve in a safe and supportive way.

How are you different from other CSBD practitioners?

My practice is rooted in a deep respect for your body's unique story and its innate ability to heal. While my foundation is in professional training, my approach is highly intuitive and guided by the specific needs that arise in each session. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I also bring a specialized understanding of the nervous system and how to gently support the body in releasing trauma, which beautifully complements the subtle work of Craniosacral Biodynamics. I also bring my own background in meditation to my practice.

What does it do?

CSBD helps to resolve stress and tension that has accumulated in the body due to physical injury, emotional trauma, or life's everyday pressures. By supporting the nervous system, it can alleviate a wide range of issues, including headaches, migraines, chronic neck and back pain, stress, and anxiety. Clients often report a profound sense of deep relaxation, improved sleep, and a greater connection to their physical and emotional self.

Who is this for and what problems does it solve?

CSBD is for anyone seeking deep rest and a restoration of their vitality. It is often sought out by those experiencing chronic pain, migraines, TMJ, and nervous system dysregulation. It is also gentle enough to support infants with birth trauma, and can be profoundly helpful for anyone recovering from accidents, surgeries, or emotional distress.
